The Story

Good Wool Farm came into being in the spring of 2024. When we purchased the property in 2020 we knew there was work to do. Once a prominent horse farm, decades had passed since there had been livestock here. The fields were overgrown. The house needed major structural renovation. But, the “bones were good” as they say, so we poured our love, time and money into our house on the hill.

Our Family

Good Wool Farm is a true labor of love. Tracy Steele has been wool gathering about fiber farming for decades. Along with her husband Paul Mahoney and their son Jackson that dream is becoming a reality. Together their wheel house of talent includes art, music, teaching and advertising but fiber is now the focus. Our family of wooly pets includes sheep, angora rabbits and soon alpacas and goats. A flock of chickens, Pekin ducks, two dogs and five cats also reside here to add to the fun.
